What happens at your session

Your dog gets a waterless brush-out and glow-up from Megan, our award-winning grooming trainer, who'll work our Unbothered spray through the coat for a fresh, groomed finish – without a drop of bathwater. If the coat is a little damp after the spray, Megan will finish with a quick blast of the dryer for maximum fluff. It's designed with nervous dogs in mind: no bath, no running water, no drama. Just a calm, unhurried session and a dog who leaves looking (and smelling) considerably more fabulous than when they arrived.

Why now?

Bonfire Night is three days later. If your dog takes fireworks personally, this is a lovely chance to meet Unbothered – our hemp and valerian spray formulated to help take the edge off the moments dogs find genuinely dramatic – before the sky starts doing its worst. And with your free Bonfire Night Survival Kit, you'll have a calm, practical plan for the whole fireworks season.

Booking

Places are strictly limited, so pre-booking is essential. Each 30-minute session is for one dog. Pick your session time above the Add to Basket button – once a time is booked it shows as sold out. Booking more than one dog? Add a separate time for each.

Before you book

• Health: your dog should be fit and well on the day, and free from fleas and any infectious or contagious condition. Please don't book, or let us know before the day, if your dog has broken, sore or irritated skin, a known skin condition, or any allergies or sensitivities.
• Matted coats: a waterless glow-up isn't suitable for matted or heavily tangled coats. Matting can be painful to brush out and usually needs a full groom or clipping, so if your dog's coat is matted, please book them in with your usual groomer first. To keep your dog comfortable, our groomers won't work on matted areas on the day.
• Tell us first: please email woof@filthyanimal.uk before the day about any medical conditions, medication, recent treatment, pregnancy or anything else our groomers should know – including if your dog isn't a fan of the hairdryer.
• Owners stay with their dogs: you'll need to stay with your dog throughout the session, keep them on a lead in the reception area, and remain responsible for your dog's behaviour.
• Your dog's wellbeing comes first: our groomers may pause or end a session early if a dog becomes distressed or shows signs of discomfort or aggression.
• Not a veterinary treatment: Unbothered is a grooming spray, not a medicine or sedative. Every dog responds differently, and it isn't a substitute for advice from your vet. If your dog's anxiety is severe or persistent, please speak to your vet.
• Photos: we'd love to share a few glow-up photos. We'll always ask before photographing your dog, and you're welcome to say no.

Booking terms & consent

By booking, you confirm that:

• You're a Deansgate Square resident and the owner of the dog, or authorised by the owner to book.
• You consent to our groomer using House of Filthy Animal grooming products on your dog, including Unbothered hemp & valerian spray and our waterless grooming products, as well as brushing and a hairdryer. Full ingredient lists are available on request.
• You've told us about any allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions or medication before the day.

What we don't do: this is a cosmetic, waterless groom, not a veterinary or treatment service. We don't treat fleas, ticks or other parasites, skin conditions, infections, or visible wounds or sores, and we don't de-mat coats.

On the day: if our groomer finds fleas, open wounds, sore or broken skin, signs of infection or matting, or your dog becomes distressed or aggressive, we may decline or stop the session to protect your dog, other dogs and our team. In these cases the booking isn't refundable, and we may suggest you see your vet.

You remain responsible for your dog's behaviour throughout, and your dog must stay on a lead in the reception area. You'll be asked to sign a short consent form at the start of your session.

Cancellations

Tickets are non-refundable, unless you cancel at least 48 hours before the event – that's by 12pm on Saturday 31 October. To cancel, email us at woof@filthyanimal.uk.
